The Norway Maritime Press Tour 2024 showcased cutting-edge advancements in the maritime industry, beginning in Oslo with discussions on decarbonization led by the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association and industry leaders from Odfjell, Torvald Klaveness, Havfram, Deep Ocean, and Wallenius Wilhelmsen.
The tour included visits to Kongsberg Discovery and Kongsberg Maritime, highlighting innovations in remote and autonomous vessel technology, super-efficient bulk carriers, and low-emission harbour tugs.
Participants experienced the serene beauty of Norway with a dinner at Michel Seylmager’s Huse and a scenic fjord cruise aboard the electric vessel MS Brisen, featuring insightful Blue Talks.
The final day focused on maritime cybersecurity at NORMA Cyber, navigation advancements at Oslo Havn with NAVTOR, and sustainability efforts at UECC, emphasizing Norway’s leadership in sustainable and secure shipping.
