Over four intensive and inspiring days, we brought leading international maritime journalists face to face with the companies shaping the future of Swedish shipping
From Gothenburg to Donsö, the programme connected innovation with insight, and people with people.
Our visits included DNV, I-Tech (Selektope®), Manta Marine Technologies, Thun Tankers, Furetank, Sirius Shipping, TERNTANK, Donsötank, Volvo Penta, Marine Benchmark, FKAB Marine Design, The Port of Gothenburg, and RISE Research Institutes of Sweden.
Across advisory, coatings, propulsion, electrification, tankers, port development and advanced research facilities, journalists were given direct access to the expertise, data and operational realities driving maritime transition.
But what truly defined the tour was the quality of the conversations.
Energy efficiency, future fuels, fleet resilience and practical decarbonisation were discussed not as abstract ambitions, but as real-world decisions being implemented today. Lab tours, simulator sessions, on-the-water demonstrations and strategic briefings provided depth. Shared meals and informal discussions created trust.
We were delighted to host representatives from leading international maritime outlets, including:
- Lloyd’s List
- TradeWinds
- ShippingWatch
- Tanker Operator / People Tech Maritime
- Mer et Marine
- Schiff & Hafen | Ship & Offshore
- ship.energy
- Sjöfartstidningen
- Maritime Innovations / ROBIN Maritime Business Information

Bringing together global trade media and the Swedish maritime ecosystem reinforces one key point:
Face-to-face engagement still matters.
When journalists experience operations first-hand, meet leadership directly and see innovation in practice, stories become sharper, more informed and more impactful.
A sincere thank you to all participating companies and journalists. This tour once again demonstrated the value of meaningful international media engagement, built on access, openness and dialogue.
